Workshops

We are not shy to admit that we are proud of our workshops.  Pride For All's workshops are not power-point lectures; they are interactive, experiential and allow participants to learn from the facilitator as well as each other.  All of our workshops focus on providing participants with tangible skills they can use in their everyday lives as well as understandings of broader topics and experiences.  Since their are different concerns, questions, and topics groups may wish to cover, we customize all of our workshops depending on your needs, interests, and the population you work wit the most.

Train-the-Trainer Program

Pride For All provides a number of different types of workshops.

While all of our workshops cover vocabulary, ally-ship building and pertinent scenarios, each has its own primary focus.

Our Anti-Bullying workshop prepares participants to combat bullying within schools, colleges, and other settings servicing youth.  The anti-bullying workshop, while focused on gender and sexuality, addresses the topic at large.  Building skills such as vocabulary and biases awareness, bystander intervention, and proactive ally-ship, Pride For All participants will better be able to to identify, intervene and prevent bullying within their communities.

The Safe Zone 101 workshop introduces participants to LGBTQ vocabulary, homophobia, cultural privilege, and ally-ship building  While it is our introductory workshop it is by no means basic information - and is a great option for a group where there is a wide range in the participants' working knowledge of the subject.

Our Safe Zone 201 workshop follows up on many of the issues discussed in 101 and continues into narrower topics including trans-issues, biphobia, and gender identity.

If you are looking for workshops that target specific groups within the LGBTQ community and the issues facing these populations - we provide custom advanced topics workshops which can be developed in collaboration with the clients needs.

Additionally, Pride For All offers Train-the-Trainer programs for those interested in: creating their own diversity workshops, starting a Safe Zone program, or who are looking to gain more facilitation skills and tools to run interactive workshops.  Our Train-the-Trainer program not only equips participants with the necessary knowledge to facilitate future workshops, but also provides participants with the physical teaching materials, instructors guides, and participant handouts for their future workshops.
