You use the phrase "LGBTQ issues" a lot, what do you mean by that?
When we use the word issues - we are not referring to gay marriage, Don't Ask, Don't Tell, or other political issues. At Pride For All we are concerned with the day to day experiences of LGBTQ and gender non-conforming individuals, and how those day-to-day experiences can be changed, improved, and benefited by individuals being more aware to everyday cultural biases and assumptions. At Pride For All we don't have a political agenda - we have an educational one. To provide education about the topics and issues that can change the every day experience, of everyone.
How would Pride For All workshops benefit my business?
Pride for All believes that all businesses have a strong interest in being aware of and sensitive to LGBTQ individuals. Pride For All workshops can provide you with the information you need to deal with LGBTQ clients and helps you to understand the type of language that is affirming and welcoming. In order to best market, target, provide for, and assist the LGBTQ community, a company must be aware of the issues facing that community and what they can do to connect with LGBTQ individuals.
How would Pride For All workshops benefit my school?
Issues facing LGBTQ populations within school communities are the subject of (rarely positive) national media coverage. Harassment and bullying are all-too-common within many educational institutions. Staff and faculty members of every school must be aware of the specific concerns of LGBTQ members of their school community. Knowledge of harmful assumptions, appropriate and inappropriate language, and a comfort with addressing particular instances of bullying or other forms of harassment is essential to creating a safe and welcoming environment. Make sure your school is a safe and welcoming environment by training supportive educators, administrators and student leaders to handle these circumstances.
